[glow=red,2,300]when the band first formed did any of you have any idea that you would have gone as far as you have with your music career ?[/glow]
ABOMINATOR was first formed in late 1994/early 1995 and sure we had our goals, but they have long since been achieved. Nowadays we just take it one album at a time and new goals are still forming. But despite the numerous line-up problems and label problems, the band has had a tumultuous history indeed and it's amazing we've been able to take it as far as we have.
[glow=red,2,300]what have been the high and low pionts of your music career?[/glow]
The highs have been signing to Osmose Records (despite the fact they fucked us over), Doing a filmclip to the song 'Renegades at hells command', supporting MAYHEM in Sydney for their Australian tour in 2002 and all the times when our albums were released. The lowest point was when our old vocalist Max Krieg left the band on his own accord due to personal problems in 2004 just a few weeks before we were due to play at the Sydney Bloodlust festival that year. We have never quite forgiven him for that. Hopefully the greatest high points are yet to be achieved.
[glow=red,2,300]which bands have influenced you music from the start up untill now?[/glow]
In the beginning it was BLASPHEMY, BEHERIT, SARCOFAGO, POSSESSED, GROTESQUE, MYSTIFIER, NECROVORE and a host of other obscure black/death bands. These days we are more influenced by our own established style.
[glow=red,2,300]what 10 albums would you take with you on a desert island ?[/glow]
I'm afraid I cannot answer this question, there are too many albums I listen to so it's quite impossible to narrow it down to a few, pardon my unsatisfactory answer!
[glow=red,2,300]is bestial warlike black/death metal, a genre that "ABOMINATOR'S" music have partly created?[/glow]
I would say that we have added to the progression and evolution of the genre, as it was created more by bands like BLASPHEMY, BEHERIT and a range of old Brazilian bands.
[glow=red,2,300]which song or album that you have been involved in are you most proud of?[/glow]
I'm equally proud of everything we've released so I can't exactly say. I'm proud of how far we have come against the odds and thats all.....
[glow=red,2,300]and finally; what have you as a band still yet to achieve?[/glow]
We've achieved everything we set out to achieve, but as I've said, new goals are forming and we won't be satisfied until they are achieved. The only thing we haven't done which we would have liked is an overseas tour. Many have proposed an ABOMINATOR tour overseas but so far none have supported such a venture.
